FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Â
- How do I book an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, please contact me, as I operate by appointment only. After registering your dog, you will receive an email with a link to book future appointments.
- How long does a grooming session take?
The length of a grooming session depends on the skill of haircut and your dog's age, behaviour and coat condition. I usually allocate 2.5 - 3 hours for most grooms to keep your dog calm and provide comprehensive care. To ensure a smooth experience, regular appointments are advised.
- My dog is nervous can you still complete a groom?
If your dog is nervous, please feel free to request a Salon Introduction groom. During this session, I will take a more gradual approach to help them become comfortable with me and the grooming environment. It's essential that every dog has a positive experience when they come to Bubbles and Paws!
Please be aware that Bubbles and Paws reserves the right to refuse aggressive, challenging or unpredictable dogs.
- Can you still groom my dog with a skin condition?
For basic conditions such as greasy skin yes. All my shampoos are natural, including a hypo-allergenic shampoo that’s perfect for very sensitive skin. I always advise consulting your vet first. If you have any prescribed shampoos for your dog, I will use those instead of my own products with the owner's permission.
- Can I stay while my dog is being groomed?
I discourage this as I like to work one-on-one with your dog to foster a bond and build trust. A distracted dog may not focus on the grooming process, and the sharp tools used can pose a risk of injury if the dog is moving around or trying to reach their owner. It's best to drop off your dog at their scheduled appointment and return once the grooming is complete. If I feel your dog would benefit from your presence, I will invite you back as needed. I am happy to show owners around the parlour so you can see where your dog will be during their pamper.
